VISTA HERMOSA

MEMORY, BIRDS AND PRIMATES IN THE LAND OF ZOCAY: WITH FACES OF PEACE

Landscapes decorated with coffee and cocoa crops, rivers, waterfalls, hot springs and mountains stand out in the charming territory of Vista Hermosa, as guardian of the Sierra de la Macarena. The Guejar River bathes this paradise, homeland of birds and primates such as the Zocay monkey (Plecturocebus ornatus) or the Harpy eagle, both of high conservation value. You can observe fishing and field practices, being quite an adventure. You can’t forget enjoying its pipes and lagoons: the Madroño lagoon and the Unión waterfall are a must-see, accompanied and guided by the community organized through groups and associations. They will also take us through trails and tell us stories that remain in the memory of the hosts who seek to promote sustainable practices and transformative experiences in a territory of peace and reconciliation.
