"Balsadas de la Purísima culture, spirituality and tradition" is a journey that takes our travelers to enjoy the night of the most beautiful party in Colombia. Come and celebrate with us our patron saint festivities, and be part of this religious cultural spectacle in the Cauca Pacific; embark and travel along the decorated Guapi River in the traditional Guapireña BALsADA de la Purísima. Immerse yourself in the rural life of Guapi, visiting communities where you will learn from the masters who carry this tradition and who keep it alive, and you will discover the deep spiritual and cultural meaning that surrounds this celebration.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Guapi, start of the experience, getting ready for the party.
Immerse yourself in the culture of Guapi with a lutherie workshop, where you will learn about the construction of traditional instruments. Enjoy a discussion about the ancient tradition of rafts and end the day with a tasting of viche and lullabies through the streets of Guapi.
11:00 am: check in at the hotel.
12:30 pm: Typical lunch, where you will discover with our traditional experts the secrets of the seasoning of traditional Pacific cuisine. Includes an ancestral drink from the Pacific.
1:30 pm. Visit to a traditional musical instrument workshop. We will learn details about the construction of the marimba, the bass drum, the cununo, and we will have the opportunity to build a guasá together, which we will prepare for the lullaby with the communities on the rafts.
3:00 pm. Conversation on the Purísima rafts.
5:00 pm. Snack and accompaniment of the Purísima novena. We will go to the neighborhood in charge of animating the novena that day and we will accompany the arrullo in its parade through the main streets of Guapi, singing the songs in honor of the patron saint of Guapi.
7:30 pm. Dinner.
Day 2: Guapireñas Rafts of the Purísima, visit communities of La Pampa and Santa Rosa.
The notes of the marimba mark the rhythm of the arrullos (traditional songs from the Pacific) that are dedicated to the protagonist of the night, La Purísima. At around 7 pm on December 7, the river parade of the rafts begins from communities of the Guapi Abajo Community Council to the main wall of Guapi, where the population waits to witness the spectacle and receive the virgin.
7:00 am. Breakfast.
8:00 am Visit to the community of La Pampa where we will learn about the viche distillation process.
11:30 am. Departure to the community of Santa Rosa.
12:30 pm Community lunch, community pot.
02:00 pm. Talk and participation with the community in the decoration and finishing of the raft.
6:00 pm. The Guapireñas Rafts. For 2 hours the Guapi River lights up and transports locals and visitors to experience our traditions in decorated boats that raft to the Immaculate Conception on the waters of the Guapi River, while coconut shells that sprout flames give the sensation as if they are coming out of the water and join in this tribute in honor of our patron saint. Inside the raft, traditional lullabies and songs resonate to the rhythm of marimba, bass drum, cununo and guasá, and you will sing out loud “THE IMMACULATE ARRIVED IN GUAPI, GOT HEAVY AND STAYED THERE”
Day 3: Gorgona Day Trip.
Very early at dawn our adventure continues, after approximately 1.5 hours of travel at sea, we are welcomed by Gorgona with its exuberant humid tropical forest considered as the science island, being a national treasure of diversity and conservation.
6:00 am. Departure to Gorgona National Park.
8:00 am Registration and induction talk at PNN Gorgona.
Departure to Playa Palmeras, enjoy the beach, sun and play with the waves.
Old Prison Tour.
Return to Guapi: 3:00pm.
7:30 pm. Traditional dinner and concert night.
Day 4.
Possibility of purchasing handicrafts.
Return to the airport.
